Reinforcing steel
Ribbed reinforcing steel in bars and coils, for reinforced concrete.

Overview
We supply ribbed reinforcing steel for reinforced concrete elements, in 12 m straight bars and in coils, to construction sites, bending shops and precast producers.
The ribs on the bar surface create the bond between steel and concrete, so the two materials work together: the concrete carries compression and the reinforcement carries tension. Grade BST500S (B500C) has a yield strength of 500 N/mm², high ductility and is weldable.
Bars, from Ø8 to Ø32 mm, are used for the main reinforcement in foundations, columns, beams and slabs. Coils, from Ø6 to Ø12 mm, are used mainly to make stirrups and bent reinforcement, with minimal offcut waste. Quantities, diameters and the delivery schedule are agreed at quotation.
Applications
- Reinforced concrete foundations, rafts and walls
- Columns, beams and slabs
- Stirrups and bent reinforcement
- Precast reinforced concrete
- Bridges, retaining walls and other infrastructure works
