Overview
Filler is a fine mineral powder obtained by grinding limestone, which fills the voids between aggregates and improves the compactness of mixes.
In asphalt mixes, filler combines with bitumen to form the mastic that binds the aggregates and stabilises the layer. In concrete — particularly self-compacting concrete — and in dry mortars, it completes the fine end of the grading curve and improves workability.
Fineness and moisture are the key parameters and are confirmed for each order.
Applications
- Asphalt mixes
- Self-compacting and precast concrete
- Dry mortars, adhesives and skim coats
- Bituminous membranes
