Limestone
Graded limestone for the cement and lime industries and for construction.

Overview
Limestone is the sedimentary rock the building materials industry is built on: raw material for cement and lime, aggregate and flux.
Made up mainly of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), limestone is valued for its chemical purity and for how readily it can be crushed and graded. Its CaCO₃ content and size fraction determine where it can be used, from cement raw meal to road aggregates.
Limestone is supplied by size fraction, with chemical parameters confirmed by analysis.
Applications
- Raw material for cement and lime
- Aggregate for concrete and roads
- Flux in steelmaking
- Flue gas desulfurisation
- Amendment for acidic soils
- Glass and sugar industries
